Jared S. Nielsen, M.D., M.B.A. is a board-certified and fellowship-trained retina specialist. Outside of work, Dr. Nielsen spends time with family and friends, traveling and participating in outdoor activities including cycling, golf, and fishing. He earned his medical degree along with a master’s degree in pathology in a combined degree program at the Chicago Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Nielsen completed a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, where he remains a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology. He enjoys clinical research and using surgical advancements and technology to make treatment better for his patients. Dr. Nielsen is also an author and reviewer for peer-reviewed retina journals and presents at major retina meetings throughout the world.
